Not too often is there a product that is truly for the player and performance without any extra frills. This is one of them.
Unparalleled fit and comfort with the perfect amount of foam thickness:density ratio. As a proflex connoisseur, having tried/owned all variations of the flex frames/foams, this is the only one that actually surpasses the coveted “OG” foam in terms of fit, comfort, and durability.
The cut out for the nose makes a world of difference in the game, no longer is mouth breathing or fiddling with your mask a factor during play.
The fit is immensely secure, with the added support of the side ear cushions. Combines perfectly with or without a headband/beanie.
Durability has been a non-issue. I have put these through nearly an entire season of play every weekend primarily as a snake player in hot/humid Florida conditions and running them through water after play. There has been zero dehiscence from the adhesive tape.
Application is straight forward. Only requiring you to thoroughly remove the old adhesive from the frames. The rest is peel and stick. Only thing to be careful with is the bottoms, ensuring that you start application at the nose are and work your way out. I think the adhesive tape is a great idea and will make future application/removal a breeze, eliminating the need for noxious adhesive spray, mess and residual glue to deal with.
Lastly, in regards to aesthetics, these are sharp and just look high quality. The tiny porous holes look and feel great. I love the subtle G1 logo at the midline and the microfiber external layer is the cherry on top. Packaging as always from G1 feels special.
Overall, these foams are for lack of better words, the shit. Breathed life back into my tired OG proflex and enhanced my new ones. I would buy 10 of these at a time if there was stock just to put them in all my goggles and have some back up. Overall 10/10 much needed improvement to the beloved proflex.
Foam is softer than any currently available; plus NO GLUE!!!
When I first received the foam I was a little surprised how soft they were but was worried how the peel and stick would work. Well, absolutely love them, so much easier to just peel and stick the foam to the frames. Apply and readjust if necessary, got it where you want it then press foam on the frame and boom your done! The nose area is so much more comfortable than other foams in the market. It’s a Game Changer for sure! No glueing mess. Thanks G1!!!
