Paintball has taught me many lessons that I took for life. One in particular that caught my attention was about "giving". After I joined a fully sponsored team, I was presented with all the resources of a well-structured organization that didn't measure their efforts to provide everything the players needed to perform at a higher level. It struck me how they would give us everything, from markers, apparel, gun techs, paintballs, flights, hotels, etc. But there was a rule, an unspoken rule that was never mentioned by players, team owners , sponsors , an so on. The rule was this; we were given everything we needed to play, but from the moment we crossed the net to the inside of the field, it was on us. It was our turn to give back.
“Give back in the form of the best paintball we could ever play”—point after point. Match after match. This lesson stuck with me, and I saw the importance of providing the tools for others to create their own path. I used this paintball lesson in life and empowered unknown people who flourished and became better than I could ever imagine. Now that paintball has turned full circle and brought me back into the paintball scenario, I want to be a provider in this sport. I'll be working on every aspect I see to innovate, improve, and create products that will empower the paintball player to be safer, play with free motion and craft his own story on the field. Go out there ,play best paintball you can ever play. Its your turn.
